Two men were arrested following a string of car break-ins across Glynn County in the early morning hours of August 3, with detectives recovering multiple stolen firearms and other stolen property from a home on Goodyear Avenue.
What happened: Someone broke into multiple vehicles in the early morning hours of August 3. By the following day, detectives had identified two men they believed were responsible.
- 21-year-old Chance Jones was arrested near Exit 36 without a struggle.
- 22-year-old Kendrick Warren was arrested at a home on Goodyear Avenue at about 11:05 p.m. on August 4.
The charges: Jones faces 13 felony counts of breaking into a vehicle and one felony count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He also had outstanding warrants from earlier car break-in cases in Glynn County. Warren faces 12 felony counts of breaking into a vehicle.
What was recovered: After a search warrant was executed at the Goodyear Avenue home, detectives found multiple stolen firearms and other stolen property. Investigators are still working to find additional stolen guns and return all recovered property to its rightful owners.
What’s still open: The investigation is ongoing, and police say more charges could be filed. Detectives are still looking for several stolen firearms that have not yet been recovered.
