LAWRENCEVILLE — A duo of thieves didn’t count on getting caught on camera during a crime spree earlier this month and now police in Gwinnett County are asking for your help in identifying the two men who robbed a jewelry kiosk at Sugarloaf Mills and a Target department store.
The two robbers were captured on mall security cameras breaking into and stealing from a jewelry kiosk after at about 11 p.m. Feb.15. The two were caught on camera about an hour later breaking into the Target on Lawrenceville-Suwanne Road.
On Saturday, February 15, at about 11 p.m., officers were dispatched to a burglary at the Status Jewels kiosk at 5900 Sugarloaf Mills Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville. During the crime, two black male suspects wearing hoodies used a hammer to break the display cases and stole over $1,500 worth of jewelry.
According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, the thieves are described as follows:

Shortly after midnight on Sunday, February 16, the Target burglarized. The robbers forced entry by breaking the front glass doors. Several pieces of electronics were stolen.
The lead detective is hoping that someone recognizes the two men and calls in a tip. Anonymous tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Case numbers are 20-014814 (Status Jewels) and 20-014817 (Target).
