A fatal shooting in the early hours of August 30 has left one man dead and two others injured in the heart of Savannah’s historic district. The incident, which occurred around 2:15 a.m. in the 100 block of West Congress Lane, has prompted an ongoing investigation by Savannah Police detectives.
The Details: Police responded to reports of gunfire and arrived at the scene to find an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. As officers searched the area, they discovered two more victims—an adult female with gunshot wounds and another adult male with an injury to his hand. The injured man declined medical treatment, while the other two were rushed to Memorial Medical Center. Unfortunately, one of the male victims succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
