MACON — A Sunday morning shooting in Macon has left one man dead, and investigators are asking the community for help.
What happened
- Around 9:30 a.m. on August 31, Bibb County deputies responded to reports of a shooting near the 6000 block of Harrison Road.
- When they arrived, they found a man in a wooded area, unresponsive with a gunshot wound.
- Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, but he later died from his injuries.
Who was the victim
The victim has been identified as 46-year-old Nelson Reynolds Crenshaw of Fort Valley, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley. His family has been notified.
The investigation
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the case is still active and ongoing. So far, no suspects or possible motives have been released.
