A woman held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center died Thursday night after being found unresponsive in her cell.
What Happened:
Cobb deputies found Clara Palmer unresponsive in her cell on Dec. 21 and performed CPR. She was taken to Kennestone Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 9:17 p.m.
The Details:
- Palmer’s cause of death will be determined by the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office.
- Her death marks the fifth detainee death in Cobb County’s jail this year.
