Months after an 80-year-old Dawson man was found shot at a local funeral home, authorities have arrested a suspect.
Latrenzo Brown, 24, was taken into custody on September 7 by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Dawson Police Department. He faces charges of aggravated assault and exploitation and intimidation of an elder person.
The initial incident occurred on January 23 at Albritten’s Funeral Services on 795 Cedar Hill Ave SE. Responding officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound and transported him to Phoebe-Putney Hospital in Albany for treatment.
Brown is currently held at Terrell County Jail, pending further investigation.
