A 21-year-old Albany man was arrested and charged with murder after his girlfriend was found dead from a gunshot wound early on August 10.
Officers responded to a shooting at Shoreham Apartments on Champagne Lane, where they discovered Eboni Nicole Hood, 19, deceased in the bedroom of her apartment from a gunshot wound to the face.
J’Shon Davyen Price, who lived with Hood, was taken into custody at the scene. Price claimed that the shooting was accidental. However, following an investigation by the Albany Police Department Criminal Investigative Bureau, he was charged with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and aggravated assault.
Price is being held at the Dougherty County Jail.
