Today is Family Engagement Day: Governor Brian Kemp has proclaimed today as Family Engagement Day, coinciding with National Parental Involvement Day. The initiative is about the importance of family partnerships in supporting student success. Schools across Georgia are taking the opportunity to thank families for their ongoing efforts to empower students and foster excellence in education.
DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are currently making repairs to a broken water main on Cliff Valley Way. Customers in the area are experiencing low to no water service due to the damaged water line.

Road Closure: The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office reports a road closure following a vehicle accident at the intersection of Long Branch and Highway 52. Drivers are advised to reroute if possible and exercise patience while traveling through the area.
