Arrest made in fatal shooting of 7-year-old girl

The DeKalb County Sheriff's office has made another arrest in the fatal shooting of a 7-year-old girl while she was at her foster parents' Ellenwood home.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s office has made another arrest in the fatal shooting of a 7-year-old girl while she was at her foster parents’ Ellenwood home.

Scottdale resident Dwayne Eric Allen is in custody at the DeKalb County Jail after sheriff’s deputies apprehended and arrested him without incident today at an Atlanta area business. Allen is charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault. He is 27 years old.

According to warrants issued May 16, Allen and his nephew, 21 year-old Antoine Allen, allegedly shot up the Satellite Boulevard home with an AR-15 assault rifle.

Mariasia Thomas died from fatal head wounds as a result of the shootout.

The nephew and a niece, 23 year-old Keadesia Allen, were both arrested by the sheriff’s office May 13 on Murder and Aggravated Assault charges. They remain in custody.
