Two people are dead after a tornado overturned a mobile home in rural Wheeler County. The storm struck Thursday night as tornado warnings covered much of Central Georgia, with Hurricane Helene approaching the Florida coast.
What’s Happening: Sheriff’s officials say the tornado happened near Adams Cemetery Road, east of Scotland and south of Glenwood, confirming two fatalities when the mobile home overturned. The two victims were found in a field near where the mobile home was toppled.
