The City of Roswell will hold its annual 9/11 remembrance ceremony on Wednesday, September 11 at Roswell City Hall. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. to mark the time when the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

The ceremony will include remarks from city officials, a prayer, a reading of the timeline of events from September 11, 2001, a presentation of the color guard, and a moment of silence.

“September 11th is a day that forever changed our nation. It’s important that we come together as a community to remember those we lost, honor the heroes who responded, and reflect on the enduring spirit of unity that emerged from that tragic day,” Roswell Mayor Kurt Wilson said.

The event is open to the public and free of charge. Residents, businesses, and community organizations are encouraged to attend.
