It’s not the kind of drive-thru service anyone was expecting. The City of Valdosta has temporarily closed its Customer Service Building after a vehicle burst into flames at the drive-thru window.

The Incident

A car caught fire in the drive-thru lane. That’s not something you see every day, unless you work at a particularly unlucky fast food joint. The fire was severe enough to warrant closing the entire facility.

The Closure

The Customer Service Building’s interior will reopen on Monday, August 5. The drive-thru, however, will remain closed until further notice.
