Georgia is set to experience a period of rainy weather, including showers and thunderstorms, starting tonight and continuing into early Wednesday. Tonight, expect showers and potentially a thunderstorm after 3 a.m., with a low temperature around 66 degrees.
Winds are expected to be 15 mph, with gusts reaching up to 30 mph.
According to the National Weather Service, the chance of rain is 100%, with new rainfall amounts expected to be between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, although amounts may be higher in some thunderstorms.
In terms of timing, storms will begin to affect Northwest Georgia after 6 p.m. Tuesday, with the most significant activity expected between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. in that area. The storms are anticipated to move southeast toward the I-85 corridor from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.
