Calhoun County Schools has released its academic calendar for the 2024-2025 school year, laying out a comprehensive schedule of instruction days, professional learning for teachers, and breaks for students and staff.
The calendar indicates a total of 160 student learning days and includes 10 designated days for teacher professional learning, emphasizing the district’s commitment to both educational excellence and continuous staff development.
The school year is set to commence in August, with pre-planning for teachers beginning on August 14 and classes start on August 21. Families can prepare for key holiday breaks, including a fall break in October and the traditional Thanksgiving break in November, allowing time for rest and family gatherings.
The winter season brings a longer break starting December 19, extending into the new year until January 7, to celebrate the festive season and the start of 2025.
