ROME -- Two women were found dead under the Etowah Bridge on Loop 1 Wednesday.

ROME — Two women were found dead under the Etowah Bridge on Loop 1 Wednesday.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in to investigate the case. They are asking for the public’s help determining what happened.

The bodies have been identified as sisters, 19-year-old Vanita Nicole Richardson and 30-year-old Clarice Truvenia Campbell.

The GBI is asking anyone who was traveling in the area who saw anything suspicious between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday to contact the GBI office at 1-800-597-TIPS (8477) with any information pertinent to the investigation.
