RESACA — A 19-year-old Calhoun man was arrested Tuesday on charges of Rape and Child Molestation of a 15-year-old girl.
According to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Dept., the sexual assault occurred at a private residence near Resaca in May, 2019.
The report was received as a result of a DFCS investigation into a separate, unrelated matter. After conducting interviews with witnesses and collecting other evidence, detectives arrested Jake Lamar Reynolds, of Calhoun, on charges of Rape and Child Molestation.
Reynolds was taken into custody without incident at the Sheriff’s Office. His case will be referred to Superior Court for judicial disposition.
