Georgia woman arrested after bomb threat at Floyd County Sheriff’s Office

The Floyd County Sheriff’s office was the subject of a bomb threat Friday morning that caused a lockdown at the Floyd County Jail.

Within hours, The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office identified the individual they say is responsible for the bomb threat.

According to the sheriff’s office, Beth Neighbors has been arrested and charged with terroristic threats and acts and is currently being held at the Floyd County Jail without bond.

Deputies swept the perimeter of the building and found no evidence of a bomb.
