A suspect has been arrested in a shooting Saturday at the Francis Event Center in Butts County.
According to the Butts County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Francis Event Center in Jenkinsburg, in reference to a person shot. Deputies arrived on scene and quickly secured the scene so Butts County EMS could respond and tend to the patient.
Deputies interviewed several subjects on scene and identified a possible suspect. The suspect had left the scene, but was located a short time later by Jackson Police Department and Butts County Patrol deputies.
The suspect was interviewed and arrested.
