WARNER ROBINS — A 19-year-old was shot and killed while playing video games with friends in Warner Robins.

Officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to a home on Hartley Avenue in reference to a person shot.

Upon arrival, they found 19-year-old Deandre Pitts of Irwinton suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to police, Pitts, along with two other friends, were in the home playing video games when two men entered the open front door and began shooting.

The friends described the shooters as being about 6-feet tall, wearing all black with facial covering. The shooters fled on foot afterwards. A canine track was attempted, but results were unsuccessful.

Pitts was transported to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon where he died from his injuries. One of the two friends sustained a superficial injury, not from a gunshot, and declined medical attention.

Criminal Investigations and Forensics both responded to the scene. Anyone with additional information should contact Detective Chad Pierce at (478) 302-5393 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
