Roswell man charged in shooting death of his girlfriend

ROSWELL — Police in Roswell have arrested a 36-year-old man and charged him with murder in the early morning shooting of his girlfriend.

Roswell Police Detectives have arrested Jason Hall for the murder of Kelly Vucelich, of Roswell, during an incident that officers responded to in the early morning hours Saturday.

Roswell Police Officers responded to the Crest of Riverside apartment community just before 1 a.m. to check on the Vucelich resident after police say Hall notified a family member that his girlfriend may have been shot in her apartment. That family member called Roswell 911 and officers arrived to find Vucelich dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

According to the Roswell Police Department, the investigation led to the identification of Hall as the primary suspect but he could not be immediately located. A lookout for Hall was provided to surrounding agencies.

During the search, police say a family member took Hall to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, where he was met by Gainesville Police Officers and Hall County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Police say Hall was armed, and a short standoff took place outside the hospital. Just after 4 a.m., Hall was taken into custody.

Hall was turned over to Roswell Police who subsequently transported him to the Fulton County Jail where he was charged with Murder.
