Four people shot in Tifton

TIFTON — Four people were shot in Tifton Thursday. Both the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Tift County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.

Details on the shooting are sparse, but the GBI has released some details. The shooting took place at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday on the 700 block of 17 1/2 St.

According to the GBI, during the incident, 31-year-old Andre Gardner, 31-year-old Germaine Lester, 23-year-old James McCoy and 24-year-old Je’kevien Kimbrough, all of Tifton, were shot and transported to multiple hospitals.
