All lanes of Interstate 75 North-bound are blocked, due to a six-car accident with injuries. The Clayton County Police Department is asking motorists to avoid I-75 North.
MARTA buses re-routed due to Atlanta protests
Protests in Atlanta over the Grand Jury’s decision in the Breonna Taylor case have caused MARTA to re-route some of its buses Thursday morning.
The following buses are rerouted from Five Points station: Bus route 26 rerouted to Vine City; Bus routes 40, 42 & 49 rerouted to West End; Bus routes 21, 186 & 816 rerouted to King Memorial. We apologize for the inconvenience.
In addition, the Forsyth St. entrance at Five Points is closed. Riders can use the Peachtree St. entrance. The South entrance at Peachtree Center is also closed, riders are encouraged to use the North entrance instead.
Increased police activity in Marietta today is a training exercise
Residents on Kennesaw Avenue may see an increased number of Marietta officers near the North end of the road today.
Planned training exercises are scheduled for this area both Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. These are carefully monitored exercises and are not related to any actual calls for help.
