For most Georgians, Memorial Day is the kickoff to summer. Some spent the day at the pool, some have hosted barbecues, many have commented on the extreme temperatures over this three day weekend. But as much fun as today is, it remains a day to honor fallen soldiers who fought and died for freedom.
