No, you weren’t dreaming last night and it wasn’t indigestion that woke you up at 4 a.m. North Georgia did experience an earthquake and typical of other natural disasters that hit the state, Georgians were quick to joke about the less-than-harrowing experience on social media.
Before we get to that response, let’s get the news of the earthquake out of the way for those who missed it. A 4.4 magnitude earthquake originating from Tennessee could be felt in north Georgia at about 4:15 a.m.
The quake was followed by a 3.3 magnitude aftershock minutes later. No damage has been reported in Georgia.
