The following is a message from Georgia Governor-elect Brian Kemp.
On Friday, Stacey Abrams ended her campaign for governor. The election is over and I am honored to be the Governor-elect of Georgia.
The last twenty months on the campaign trail were challenging but I was blessed to have my wife, Marty, and daughters – Jarrett, Lucy, and Amy Porter – with me every step of the way.
We traveled the state to connect with hardworking Georgians. We shared our vision for Georgia’s future with local voters. We strengthened friendships and made new ones.
With the help of thousands of supporters like you, we formed an unstoppable grassroots army. On November 6, we earned a clear and convincing victory at the ballot box.
I’m incredibly proud of Team Kemp and what we accomplished but this is only the beginning.
The real work is ahead and Georgia families are counting on us.
When I announced my run for governor, I vowed to put hardworking Georgians first. In fact, I built my campaign and our entire platform on that singular promise.
Over the next four years, I will spur job creation and make Georgia the #1 state for small business by slashing regulations.
I will partner with the legislature to streamline government, cap spending, and lower taxes on Georgia workers.
We will ensure that all parts of our state – including rural communities – have access to High Speed Internet, quality schools, affordable healthcare, and economic opportunity.
As governor, I will invest in public education, lower insurance premiums, protect the HOPE Scholarship, keep our families safe from gangs, and stand up for our conservative values.
But to keep our state working and ensure a bright and promising future for ALL Georgians – no matter their zip code – we need your continued support.
The transition process begins in earnest and we are asking our supporters to stay engaged and Kemp Strong!

While the campaign is over, I will never forget the incredible sacrifices made by so many of you. Thank you for your love, support, prayers, and vote. Thank you for believing in me – even when I was the dark horse candidate. Thank you for choppin’ wood – when the national media tested our resolve.
Going forward, I will stay humble and remain committed to the promises made on the campaign trail. I will do the right thing – even when no one is looking. I will fight to ensure that our best days are ahead. As Georgia’s 83rd governor, I will always put hardworking Georgians first.
