DUNWOODY — The City of Dunwoody will hold an open house to share updates to the Dunwoody Village Master Plan, which spells out zoning requirements for the area. The public is invited to drop in anytime between 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Vintage Pizza at 5510 Chamblee Dunwoody Road.
The open house will be led by TSW, the Atlanta-based planning firm hired by the city to review and rewrite zoning regulations for the Dunwoody Village. TSW will present an overview of the effort, along with details of proposed zoning changes.
“Public input has been an important part of developing the vision for the Dunwoody Village,” said City of Dunwoody Community Development Director Richard McLeod. “Now we’re ready to share the plan as we look at connectivity, public spaces and the character of future development.”
In June about 200 community members took part in a public workshop and walking tours of the Dunwoody Village and their feedback was used to help shape the most recent update.
In December 2018, the Dunwoody City Council approved several zoning amendments to the Village Overlay, including removing the Williamsburg style of architecture as a requirement. Drive-thrus for new buildings were also prohibited.
