Heavy Rainfall of 2 to 5 inches in north and central Georgia and 3 to 4 inches in South Georgia will lead to an increased risk of flooding over the area.

When: Rain is expected in the area from Saturday morning through Monday night, with the heaviest rains currently expected between early Sunday morning through noon on Monday.

Where: The primary threat will exist generally south of I-20.

Impacts:

  • Isolated Flash Flooding will be possible.
  • Minor flooding of smaller, fast responding creeks/streams with quickly accumulating rainfall.
  • Minor flooding within larger channels already high from previous rainfall.
  • Widespread ponding on roadways and low-lying/poor drainage areas.
