Two elementary schools in Paulding County will open their doors this year with major expansions designed to handle the district’s growing enrollment.
📚 What’s New: Roberts Elementary now operates with 59 total classrooms after completing a 16-classroom addition that took one year to build. The expansion includes a new multipurpose STEM lab, updated restrooms, staff workspace, and storage areas.
The school also upgraded its parking and driveways to handle increased traffic flow, plus added an enclosed walkway connecting the new building to the main structure for enhanced safety.
🏫 Why It Matters: These additions mean smaller class sizes and better learning environments for hundreds of local students whose schools were bursting at the seams.
🎒 Growing Pains: Northside Elementary tackled even bigger numbers with a 20-classroom addition spanning 26,000 square feet. The school now serves more than 600 students, according to district officials.
Both projects wrapped up on time and on budget, with Roberts Elementary’s addition completed by Carroll Daniel Construction and RLR Architects, while R.K. Redding Construction and Goodwyn Mills Cawood handled Northside’s expansion.
