12 Georgia businesses raided for gambling violations

The GBI executed search warrants on 12 businesses suspected of gambling violations.

Members of the GBI Southwestern Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Tift County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State Patrol, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested 35-year-old Jose Luis Pena-Ferraras and 43-year-old Ismil Rodriguez-Aybar, both of Lawrenceville, after the seizure of five kilograms of methamphetamine, one kilogram of heroin, and a handgun.

A 22-year-old Albany woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a homicide that occurred Friday night in Tifton. On Saturday, July 10, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested Alexis Danielle Banks of Albany, for felony murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
