SAVANNAH — Savannah police are investigating an accidental fatal shooting at a local shooting range.
Officers responded to a call at the Savannah Quick Shot at 7207 White Bluff Road at about 3 p.m. on May 27. Once there, they discovered 59-year-old John Salvati suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to Memorial Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.
Police say an initial investigation revealed Salvati was inadvertently shot by another member of his party while at the range.
The incident remains under investigation.
