ALPHARETTA -- Two people were taken to the hospital today after a light pole fell on them at a popular Alpharetta shopping destination.

ALPHARETTA — Two people were taken to the hospital today after a light pole fell on them at a popular Alpharetta shopping destination.

A delivery truck struck a light pole that fell on two people at Avalon. Alpharetta police say neither of the victims appeared to have suffered serious injuries, however, they were both taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluations.

ALPHARETTA -- Two people were taken to the hospital today after a light pole fell on them at a popular Alpharetta shopping destination.

According to the Alpharetta Police Dept., the driver of the delivery truck remained on-scene, cooperated fully with police officers, and was not charged with any violations.

Avalon is an upscale mixed-use development in Alpharetta that combines living space, entertainment and shopping areas.
