Residents living near DeKalb-Peachtree Airport can conveniently report airport noise. The airport is using Plane Noise, an online system that makes filing complaints easier and faster.
Here is how you can submit a noise complaint:
1. Use the Plane Noise Webform
Go to pdkairport.org. You will find a link to the Plane Noise webform. Fill out the form with details about the noise event. Try to include:
- The date and time
- Your location
- The type of aircraft, if known (jet, propeller plane, or helicopter)
2. Download the Plane Noise Mobile App
The Plane Noise app lets you report noise from your phone. The app works just like the webform and is easy to use. Directions for downloading and using the app are available on pdkairport.org and PDK’s Facebook page.
3. Call the Noise Hotline
You can also report noise by calling the Noise Hotline at (770) 936-5442. The number is also listed on the airport’s website.
4. Email Your Complaint
Residents can still email complaints to pdknoise@dekalbcountyga.gov, but using the Plane Noise system is encouraged.
When submitting a complaint, include as much information as you can. This helps airport staff look into the issue.
