A 21-year-old Valdosta missing persons case has taken on new life as the search for answers in the disappearance of a mother and son becomes the focal point for the FBI and local agencies. The mystery surrounding Paula Wade and her son Brandon continues to captivate the community, drawing attention to the case’s details that remain hidden in shadows.

Paula and Brandon Wade were reported missing on October 14, 2002. Paula, then 26, and Brandon, just 3 years old, seemed to vanish without a trace. Paula’s absence from work that day set off alarm bells, and the subsequent search yielded no clues as to their whereabouts or if anyone might have wanted to harm them.

The Valdosta Police Department has worked diligently on the case over the years but has never been able to pinpoint the Wades’ location or determine who might be responsible for their disappearance.

Adding to the intrigue, the FBI is now showing age progression pictures of the missing mother and son on its website. The images depict what Brandon Wade might look like at the age of 23 and his mother at 45. The FBI’s missing person poster notes that Paula Wade may be wearing corrective lenses or glasses and that she also uses an inhaler for asthma.

The case, still shrouded in uncertainty, continues to haunt those involved. The community’s hope remains that new clues will emerge to unravel the tangled web of questions.

If you or anyone you know has information on the Wades’ disappearance, you are asked to contact the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office at 770-216-3000 or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov. The answer to this 21-year-old mystery may lie with someone who knows something, even if it seems insignificant.
