Public safety officials from several agencies in Cherokee County conducted an "Appreciation Parade" for healthcare workers at Northside Cherokee Hospital Sunday evening by circling the hospital's campus with their emergency lights on.

Public safety officials from several agencies in Cherokee County conducted an “Appreciation Parade” for healthcare workers at Northside Cherokee Hospital Sunday evening by circling the hospital’s campus with their emergency lights on.

“Doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals are the frontline heroes in this battle against Covid-19 and we wanted to let them know how appreciative we are of their service,” the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Dept. posted on its Facebook page.

Cherokee County has had 124 confirmed cases of coronavirus and five people in the county have died from the virus.
