CHAMBLEE — 10-year-old Jayla Dallis was playing in the pool with her aunt and her with her 3-year-old sister Kali last month when Kali began to struggle under the water.
Jayla sprang into action and got the 3-year-old out of the pool and began to perform CPR until first responders arrived on the scene.
The paramedics responding on the scene credited Jayla for her sister’s recovery.
Jayla was recently named a DeKalb County Torchbearer for her heroic actions in saving Kali’s life.
