Following the heartbreaking events at Apalachee High School on September 4, where a school shooting left two students and two teachers dead, the community has been coming together to support those affected.

Local nonprofit Adventure Bags Inc. is working to provide comfort to the students as they return to school, acknowledging the immense emotional toll on everyone involved  .

To assist students during this difficult time, Adventure Bags has adapted its usual offering. They are putting together special bags filled with items intended to ease anxiety and help students cope. These bags will include comforting items like stuffed animals, stress balls, and journals. The community is encouraged to participate by donating goods or volunteering to help assemble the bags.

Adventure Bags is also organizing a packing event where local volunteers can come together and contribute to the recovery effort.
