In an extraordinary display of courage and quick action, a group of students from the University of Georgia became lifesavers during a recent car accident.
These remarkable young women witnessed a harrowing scene when a white SUV veered off the road and tumbled into a creek on Ellison Bridge Road in Burke County. Without a second thought, they sprang into action, rushing to the crash site to render aid.
Demonstrating remarkable bravery and selflessness, Jane McArdle, Mary McCollum, Eleanor Cart, Clarke Jones, and Kaitlyn Lannace sprang into the water and managed to rescue the driver and two children trapped inside the overturned vehicle. Their prompt and decisive actions undoubtedly prevented a potential tragedy
The Burke County Sheriff’s Office has publicly commended the students for their heroic efforts. “Their quick thinking and bravery are absolutely admirable,” the statement read, “We are grateful they were in the right place at the right time.”
