Georgia has made it clear—it’s got a thing for the ‘90s.

A recent study by Boohoo analyzed Google search data and found that Georgia residents are more drawn to the fashion trends of the 1990s than any other decade. The state joins New York and Illinois in a nostalgic love affair with slip dresses, wide-leg jeans, and bucket hats.

But when it comes to nationwide trends, the ‘80s reign supreme. The research shows that in 36 out of 50 states, neon colors, power suits, and oversized silhouettes still dominate search results. California, Texas, Florida, and Pennsylvania are all leading the charge in bringing back the era of bold style, with a little help from pop culture hits like Stranger Things.

That doesn’t mean the ‘90s are going anywhere. If anything, the decade’s influence is only growing. From the resurgence of chunky sneakers to the ever-popular Friends aesthetic—complete with chokers and pleated skirts—it seems Georgia’s fashionistas aren’t quite ready to let go of the past. Even wellness trends are leaning retro, with Mushroom Gummies making their way onto store shelves as a modern twist on the herbal supplements popular in the ‘90s.

Other decades aren’t without their fans. The 1970s and 2000s have both seen a rise in searches, with Y2K fashion making a big comeback thanks to stars like Paris Hilton and Destiny’s Child.

As for the ‘50s and ‘60s? Not so much. According to the data, poodle skirts and mod mini-dresses aren’t making the same kind of splash.

So while other states are living in the ‘80s, Georgia’s keeping things grungy, minimalist, and effortlessly cool—just like it did 30 years ago.
