WalletHub’s analysis compared 100 cities based on 12 factors reflecting strong coffee cultures. These factors included the number of coffee shops per capita, the average cost of coffee, and the share of residents who own coffee makers. The top cities for coffee lovers range from Portland, Oregon, which took the number one spot, to Las Vegas at number 20.

Meanwhile, Chesapeake, Virginia, boasts the highest share of single-cup coffee maker ownership, with Newark, New Jersey, at the bottom of that list.

Portland, Oregon, which WalletHub ranked first overall, also leads in having the most coffee and tea manufacturers per square root of the population—21 times more than Tulsa, Oklahoma, the city with the fewest.
