Chick-fil-A is expanding its footprint in Buford with a new restaurant that opened Thursday at 1615 Buford Highway.
The location is expected to create approximately 100 full- and part-time jobs and will have a drive-thru, carryout, delivery, and Mobile Thru services to accommodate guests..
Steve Warnstrom, a Chick-fil-A franchise owner with over 30 years of experience, will lead the new location. He is also the owner of the Chick-fil-A Mall of Georgia location. Warnstrom has lived in Buford with his family for more than two decades.
“I’m honored to be opening a second location in Buford and look forward to continuing to serve this incredible community,” said Warnstrom.
Community Impact and Local Initiatives
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support hunger relief efforts in the greater Atlanta area. The Buford restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, donating surplus food to local nonprofits.
As part of the opening festivities, the restaurant is honoring 100 local heroes from the Buford and Sugar Hill areas with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
A Focus on Team Members
The new location aims to support its employees with competitive pay, professional development opportunities, and access to scholarships. Under Warnstrom’s leadership, more than $344,000 in scholarships have been awarded to team members since 1993.
