South Fulton Fire Rescue is actively fighting the blaze in the 5500 block of Mallory Road. The City of South Fulton Police Department issued a smoke advisory alongside the response, urging people in the area to close their windows and doors and avoid pulling outside air into their homes.

Fire officials said no toxic hazard has been identified in the smoke plume, but smoke remains an irritant regardless. Residents with asthma or other respiratory conditions are urged to take extra precautions.

Mallory Road is closed near Waverly Park Drive. The public is asked to stay clear of the area to give emergency crews room to work.

Additional updates are expected as the situation develops.
