A fire broke out at a Valdosta tire shop Wednesday, but firefighters managed to stop it before it spread inside the building.
๐ What Happened: Just before noon on Wednesday, the Valdosta Fire Department rushed to a commercial fire at Marquez Tire Shop on West Hill Avenue. Within three minutes, crews were on the scene, where flames and smoke were visible outside the structure.
๐จ What Firefighters Did: Firefighters moved fast, preventing the fire from entering the building and keeping damage contained to the exterior. No injuries were reported.
๐ What About the Car?: Photos of the scene raised questions about whether a car also caught fire. Fire Department spokesperson Erica Thrift confirmed the fire was on the other side of the vehicle, which was not involved.
