The Dade County Sheriff’s Office has issued a transit alert for the 5000 block of Slygo Road, urging residents to avoid the area and find alternate routes.

The alert, posted on the department’s social media accounts, warns that multiple trees have fallen, causing road blockage and subsequent fires.

Authorities report that the fallen trees have become entangled in power lines, creating a hazardous situation with active fires in the vicinity. As a result, Slygo Road has been deemed impassable for the time being.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes and to monitor updates from the Dade County Sheriff’s Office on the ongoing situation.
