The Details: Alarming messages were reported in a bathroom at North Forsyth High School, unsettling students and staff. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, after scrutinizing hours of surveillance footage and conducting student interviews, identified a 16-year-old as the suspect.

Sheriff’s officials say that when questioned, the student indicated he hoped the messages would lead to a school shutdown, but he had no intent to harm.

The student faces charges of felony terroristic threats, disruption of public school and trespass.

What’s Next?: The accused student will be transferred to a Youth Detention Center in Gainesville.
