What happened: The teen, who was riding in the front seat of a car driven by his brother, was shot during an argument with another driver. The shooting happened in Aiken County, South Carolina, before the car made it to Augusta.

What we know: Richmond County deputies were called to the 700 block of Walton Way around 9:23 p.m. Sunday after reports of a shooting. The teen was already at a local hospital by the time deputies arrived. His injuries are not life-threatening.

What’s next: Because the shooting happened in South Carolina, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has no authority over the case. Aiken County authorities are handling the investigation.
