A person walking on Horseshoe Road died Thursday night after being hit by a driver who left the scene.
What It Means For You: The driver is still out there, and police are asking anyone who saw what happened around 9 p.m. on October 16 to come forward with information.
What’s Happening: Richmond County Sheriff’s deputies found the injured pedestrian in the 900 block of Horseshoe Road after getting a call about a traffic accident. The person died at the hospital.
What We Know: Police have not released the victim’s name yet because they are still notifying family members. The traffic division is investigating, but they don’t know what kind of vehicle hit the person or who was driving it.
