A man accused of robbing someone selling designer clothing and shoes on Glenwood Road in Decatur last month has been arrested and is now in jail.
What’s Happening: Dakin Braddick was taken into custody at an apartment complex on the 6800 block of Main Street in Lithonia. The robbery took place March 3 on Glenwood Road in Decatur.
The Charges: Braddick faces five felony charges:
- Armed robbery
- Hijacking a motor vehicle in the first degree
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- Two counts of financial transaction card fraud, which involves the unauthorized use of someone’s debit or credit card
What’s Important: Braddick is being held at the DeKalb County Jail without bond, meaning a judge has not set a dollar amount that would allow him to pay for his release while he awaits trial.
The Path Forward: The investigation remains open, and authorities say more details will be released as they become available.
