Sherine Searcy, owner of Petit Artist announced the studio’s closing on Facebook.

“It has taken me a while to write this letter as I believed that I would maintain the art options online but my life has now moved in a new direction,” Searcy said.

The studio, located on Old Highway 5 in Woodstock, was known for hosting birthday parties and events along with art classes and drop-in studio times.

Petit Artist joins the estimated 100,000 businesses expected to close amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has hit small businesses across the nation hard.
