Wells Fargo will pay $16.3 million to Georgians to resolve claims for alleged unfair and deceptive trade practices. The $16 million is part of a much larger settlement with several states totaling $575 million nation wide.

Today, the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education released results from a statewide survey that examined the retirement preparedness of Georgians. The survey, which was funded by a grant from the Investor Protection Trust in collaboration with Georgia Secretary of State, Brian P. Kemp, revealed that 42 percent of Georgia residents believe they are not adequately contributing to their retirement accounts.

In the month of June, more passengers than previous months used Middle Georgia Regional Airport to fly to Baltimore Washington International Airport on Contour Airlines or to Biloxi on the weekend charter flight with Sun Country Air. More than 3,000 passengers came through the airport, which was an average of 89 percent of load capacity and a 7 percent increase over May.
