WHAT: This Black Friday, H&R Block is asking the community to think about those in need during the fall and winter seasons. While out shopping, H&R Block is asking the community to consider picking up a new or gently used coat for someone else in need. All they have to do is stop in and drop off their donation at one the below H&R Block office locations on Black Friday. All donations will benefit the Atlanta Children’s Shelter.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office has appointed John Upton as the agency’s Scam and Fraud Prevention Officer. Among other duties, Upton will maintain online resources to inform the public regarding current scam schemes in the Rome and Floyd County area. The Sheriff’s Office will also provide for training of community groups and local businesses in fraud prevention and identification.

Fulton County reports over 68,416 residents have voted during the first week of Early Voting for the 2018 General and Special Election.
